Hi all,
Today was my first day back to work. I went into the office in the morning and worked from home in the afternoon. It wasn't too bad as Wednesday to Friday this week are national holidays in Japan so things are kind of quiet. I do have to work on this memo that will take me some time to do a good job. It was surprisingly nice to go back to the office for me. I thought it would be kind of difficult as everything in my office was the way it was before I got admitted to the hospital. I have like 3 desk calendars on my desk (because of gifts from people) and I had to flip them all from February to May. But it was nice to see my colleagues - everyone has been so supportive, plus it felt kind of "normal" to be back at work.
We went to see Isaac in the evening at 7 pm. When we first got there, he was staring at the pillow/bean bag that was placed next to his head without blinking for a long time - and it was kind of scary to see him not moving his eyes and just staring like that without blinking. He then started frowning a lot. He seemed particularly unhappy today because they had a lot of cotton pads and pillows around him to try to confine his movements as everytime he moves, it seems to negatively affect his ventilation tube and his breathing. And he seems to love moving. He wriggles and moves all the time!
The good news is his blood pressure was better today. I have been praying a lot for his blood pressure to get higher as his low blood pressure has been causing a lot of instability. So praise God!
I am pretty wiped out so I am going to sign off for now. Thanks for all your prayers!
Sonia

Hi..I've been following your blog and praying for some time and I ran into this posting on another site and thought it might interest you and be something to look into...Take care, prayers and blessings to your family. Trish
THE POSTING I FOUND.........
As soon as you can, you might want to see about doing "Kangaroo care" with her - there are now lots of studies showing that the littlest preemies do better with that skin-on-skin contact. Their heartrates improve, breathing, blood-oxygen, everything. Not all of the hospitals are up on the latest, so you may need to ask about it or push a little. A recent issue of Mothering magazine had an extensive article about it, including references to some of the research.)
Dear Sonia,
I am glad that Issac is doing better in regards to his blood pressure. Make sure to take it easy going back to work. Hugs and prayers always
Allison
