Melting Mommy's Heart with a Smile

Hi all,

I came home late from a dinner last night so I didn't get to post but we had another good visit yesterday. First of all, Isaac was wide awake when we first arrived, which made Jong very happy because for some reason, Jong gets very sleepy when Isaac sleeps through our visit. : ) I have to say that Isaac is a lot more interesting (and cute) when he is awake because of all his funny expressions.

He smiled quite a few times shortly after we arrived. One of those times, his eyes were opened and he was looking at me while I looked at him through the porthole and I was saying "hi, its mommy!" to him and repeated it a few times to which he responded to mommy with a big smile!!!!!! Boy, did he melt my heart! He almost looked like he was giggling a few times too.

I also got to feed him my pinkie for the first time. In the beggining when Jong was doing it, I was a bit too nervous to try it out myself and than the last few days, we just couldn't find the right opportunity to do so. Well, I tried it yesterday and it was such a great experience. He was really suckling quite hard plus he actually put his little hand on my finger while suckling my pinkie almost like he was breast feeding! Jong is right. He really does seem to like to suckle on our pinkies. He looked so content and happy!

He then held my finger with his hand for a while. He was just so awfully cute yesterday. The hour just flew by. We probably had a little too much fun with him yesterday because his oxygen saturation levels started crashing towards the end of our visit. We need to have better self control when we visit so we are not touching him for too long. We discovered that he does better if we only touch him for a total of 30 minutes between the two of us and spend the rest of the time talking and singing to him without touching him. But sometimes, when he is awake and interacting with us, its just too hard to stop! : ) Please do continue to pray for healing for his Chronic Lung Disease. It can be so scary when he desats as his skin turns so much darker. We really hope they don't have to keep increasing the oxygen level they ventilate into him as that can cause problems with his brains and his eyes.

Jong & Sonia,

Your little boy is growing so noticably recently! I have been praying for y'all for a couple of months or so and am so humbled by your steadfastness through your storms, and have rejoiced with you through your daily victories with Isaac. He is such a stong fighter and has such an adorable personality already; and I'm so happy for you that you are getting to see all these milestones though I know you would give anything to be there with him 24/7! I'm continuing to pray for your family, thank you for the frequent updates!!

Sonia and Jong,

Isaac is so precious! I love to see his pics. Sonia, what a special moment between mommy and Isaac when he suckled your pinky and smiled. How sweet! Continuing to pray for your little prince, especially regarding the lung situation. Praying for healing in Jesus name!
