Hi Everyone,
We are still at the hospital (and will likely be here for the rest of the day) but we wanted to post a quick update to let you know that Isaac made it through his surgery without any major complications. Thank you Lord! A million heartfelt thanks for all of your prayers and thoughts as well.
The surgery lasted about 3.5 hours and while there may likely be post surgical complications (e.g. torn sutures because his skin and inner membranes are so thin) the doctors said that the procedure went as well as could be expected. We won't know how effective the procedure was for a few days but we were actually able to see Isaac again post surgery and he seemed tired and groggy but pretty good all things considered.
Sonia and I are so exhausted but so relieved. We're so very thankful to our Lord for giving us peace during the actual surgery. We were pretty nervous and anxious trying to prepare for any eventuality but everything seemed to fall into place and an amazing calm (Sonia is giggling right now as I originally typed "amazing clam") settled upon us (Sonia's insert: i.e. Jong fell asleep under the clam) the minute Isaac started his journey into the operating room.
Thanks again for all of your continuing support and prayers for our baby boy.

We are so thankful to God that Isaac made it through the surgery today. My daughter (4) and I have been following your journey closely (she has renamed her smallest teddy Isaac ... they are about the same size)Our prayers have been with you all, as they will continue to be. Your constant submission to God is a very powerful testimony of your faith and we have all been very encouraged and moved by it. We pray for healing and rapid growth for Isaac and for God's continued calming presence for you, Sonia and Jong.

Father God, Thank you for working in Isaac's life, thank you for the yet another miracle in the breath he has. Lord I ask that you protect Isaac's tiny body, that you hold those stitches in place. That you bind any infections or complications that could arise. Lord may his life reflect your grace and glory. In your name we pray, Amen
