First of all, when I went to see Isaac tonight, Isaac's nasal feeding tube has been taken out and since he is still in the incubator with extra oxygen, I got to see his whole face with NO tape or tubes!!!!!! He has quite a handsome and definitely a very cute albeit chubby face if I dare say so myself! :)
Dr. Ishii was there tonight and he said that if Isaac's CRP level is good tomorrow, they will stop the antibiotics and then take out the IV 2 days later. Because Isaac is in the incubator this week, the EEG and MRIs will be done next week instead. But the good news is Dr. Ishii is still planning to have Isaac come home early October!!!!!! Yay!!!!!!!!!!Anyway, Isaac was pretty sleepy tonight. He ate and then konked out. I think this picture is really funny despite the glare from the fluorescent lights, because Isaac looked so cute konked out!
In any case, if you are able to bear with my very hoarse singing voice until the very end of this video, you will see a big gummy smile from Isaac! Its really great!!!! Enjoy!Oh and here is a picture from Monday when Isaac was on his tummy. You can see how nicely his scar from his heart surgery is healing!
God bless,Sonia

What a beautiful face! You must be so excited! OH MAN I loved it when I got to see my babies faces!!
Oh oh oh, I saw it!!! I saw Isaac's smile ... it is gorgeous!!! I was just thinking the other day that I couldn't wait to see a pic of Isaac smiling. Thanks for sharing!!!
AWWWWWW, how adorable, I just love those cheeks:)
OK, now it is totally official...I am in love!!!! Can I date him when he is 20? I'll only be in my early 60's, and I think he will appreciate an older woman!LOL
Sonia, you have missed your vocation...you have a lovely singing voice!
OK, all kidding aside, he looks so healthy, this is so great to see. That smile is too cute for words. I have to say it again, you are blessed with a lovely boy.
Hugs,
Susan
A priceless face . . . so happy to finally see him without any tubes. Our prayers are being answered -- I was thrilled to read that Dr. Ishii will let Isaac come home in early October. I'm going to keep praying harder . . . Isaac needs to be home with his mommy and daddy. And I want you guys to be able to hold him anytime you want.
love,

Oh, one more thing. While we were praying last Sunday in church, we all realized what great progress Isaac has made in the last 5 months. And how truly amazing God's love is and how powerful His healing hands can be. It's so uplifting to know that He is always at work -- helping us grow spiritually, mentally and physically. Isaac and Rachel are miracles and it makes my faith stronger to see their lives unfold in front of me.

What an adorable little guy! Isaac, your mommy and daddy are right...you're just a sweetheart! I wish I could hug you in person. Sonia & Jong, I've been following your website since my friend Erin Eccles put the link on their website. Thank you for sharing your story, and that of Rachel and Isaac. I admire all of you so much, and have been praying for the four of you daily (and for wisdom for Isaacs doctors and nurses). Please know that you have a friend in southern Minnesota who's always thinking of you. God Bless!
Aunty Sonia,
I like baby Isaac's smile.
I hope he grow up fast.
He is a cute baby.
