Blessed Be Your Name

I don't know what it is like for those of you who are healing from the grief of losing someone you love dearly, but its very easy for Jong and I to cry while singing praises to our Lord. Well, this was the first song we sang this past Sunday so we got started early this Sunday! The part in bold really gets to us (in a good way).

Blessed Be Your Name
by Matt Redman
- - -
Blessed Be Your Name
In the land that is plentiful
Where Your streams of abundance flow
Blessed be Your name

Blessed Be Your name
When I'm found in the desert place
Though I walk through the wilderness
Blessed Be Your name

Every blessing You pour out
I'll turn back to praise
When the darkness closes in, Lord
Still I will say

Blessed be the name of the Lord
Blessed be Your name
Blessed be the name of the Lord
Blessed be Your glorious name

Blessed be Your name
When the sun's shining down on me
When the world's 'all as it should be'
Blessed be Your name

Blessed be Your name
On the road marked with suffering
Though there's pain in the offering
Blessed be Your name

Every blessing You pour out
I'll turn back to praise
When the darkness closes in, Lord
Still I will say

Blessed be the name of the Lord
Blessed be Your name
Blessed be the name of the Lord
Blessed be Your glorious name

Blessed be the name of the Lord
Blessed be Your name
Blessed be the name of the Lord
Blessed be Your glorious name

You give and take away
You give and take away
My heart will choose to say
Lord, blessed be Your name

Sonia~
Love this song!!
And while I haven't experienced the same pain as you and Jong, I know that God understands each of our pains and IS IN CONTROL.
My heart chooses to say, Blessed be Your name!
Thanks for posting this great reminder!

Sonia, I know this is an older post, but this song, ESPECIALLY the lyrics you highlited make me CRY every time. I can't help but think of Gioia- the first time I heard this was after I had my second loss and a few weeks later I went up and spoke to the church about how hard that was for me to understand/hear!
