Sorry I didn't get to post earlier. Abi and I are home and quite happy about it. We actually checked out of the hospital on Monday. They usually keep patients in the hospital for much longer in Japan. The usual stay for a C-section patient at Aiiku Hospital is 7 days post C-section (Toho University Hospital was 10 days post C-section). I feel so lucky that Dr. S is a lot more westernized and let me come home on Monday. Its so much better at home. I guess because of my past history, staying at the hospital felt like jail.
Abi is doing quite well. She initially lost quite a bit of weight - a bit over 10% at the hospital. But my milk finally came in right after I got home so things are going better. So far it seems that as long as we keep Abi fed and dry, she is a happy camper so we are happy too. We are so not used to a baby who likes to eat and has a full set of lungs. We keep marveling at it.
Isaac was very jealous of Abi when he came to visit in the hospital after Abi was born and after we came home but he seems to be getting more used to Abigail now. We are all trying to make sure he doesn't feel neglected.
Anyway, I will try to post more later as I am getting very sleepy. But here are some pictures.

She is gorgeous! So happy they let you go home early and that everything went so well with the delivery. Congratulations on the addition to the family and hopefully Isaac will soon realize he is Abi's protector and just love her to bits! There will always be sibling rivalry, but I bet he'll make a great big brother.
Oh my goodness is she BEAUTIFUL!!! Just precious!! I'm thanking Jesus that everything went smoothly and you got to go home a little early ;) I can't wait to watch her grow. The picture of big brother looking in her crib is precious :)

What a handsome family you are! Abigail is really a beautiful baby. I'm so happy for your family and I'm sure Isaac will "adjust" soon. It will be so fun to "watch" Abigail grow just as we have "watched" Isaac these past couple of years. Thanks so much for keeping us all in the loop!

Sonia, you're short hair looks fabulous. Besides the fact that you're holding a brand new baby girl, you'd never know you were pregnant and just delivered.
I think Isaac's face in the family photos says it all . . . he doesn't know what to think about the his baby sister that has his mommy and daddy's attention. I know in time he's going to love Abigail to death.
I can't get over how beautiful and precious she is.
