Although Isaac no longer needed supplemental O2 during the day, we have still been putting his nasal cannular on at night when he sleeps. We recorded 2 nights of Isaac's SpO2 levels a couple of weeks ago. One night with his nasal cannular on and one night without. Well the nurse came to visit us this morning and told us that Isaac no longer needs his nasal cannular and we don't need to keep monitoring his SpO2 levels either. So Isaac is free!!!!! No more tubes!!!! No more wires!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We are praying that Isaac will continue to stay healthy and grow so even if he gets sick once in a while, he doesn't need O2. Praise, praise God!
I had some fun with an online day count caculator so here are some stats:
Isaac on the ventilator - 95 days/3 m 4 d
Isaac on CPAP/O2 Mask/Oxygenated Incubator - 17 days
Isaac in NICU - 186 days /6 m 3 d
Isaac on nasal cannular - 356 days/11 m 1 d
Isaac attached to some kind of tubes or wires - 448 days/1 y 2 m 2 d
Oh and can you believe Isaac has been home for 262 days / 8 m 19 d? Sometimes I can't believe it!

CONGRATULATIONS ISAAC! Free atlast! God bless that little trooper! I think Isaac deserves a new toy:) He is so blessed to have such great parents, too!

This is such wonderful news!!! Issac looks so wonderful and no O2, well, there aren't enough words to express my feelings! I am sorry I haven't been around for a while, life has been crazy. I cannot tell you how wonderful it is to come back and see how wonderful he looks. I have tears in my eyes!! God bless you small boy warrior!! LOL
