Isaac is sleeping on my chest right now

Dear all,

I just wanted to post that Isaac is sleeping sweetly on my chest right now. We think he is really enjoying the peace and quiet at home but he seems to like sleeping during the day a lot. Its been really great though I am not getting much sleep. I am also bottle feeding him more than I thought I would because I don't think he is able to suckle hard enough to get that much milk from direct nursing. But its all been really great.

I will post more and hopefully some videos later!

Thanks for all of your prayers and well wishes!!!!

Sonia and Jong,

First, congratulations. I know having Isaac home is a huge and long-awaited milestone. I'm thrilled for you.

And second, thanks. Thanks for being such a great testimony of God's goodness even in the midst of adversity and trial. With deep heartache, you still clung to your faith and gave glory to Him. And thanks to the beauty of blogs, your story is known the world over, and God's glory is revealed on an even broader scale. I've personally been encouraged to track your progress and hear of your faith.

So glad to have been a part of this journey and to support you in prayer. SAvor the moments of 24/7 parenthood.

In Christ,

Brett Hilliard (ECC Hong Kong)

Sounds like Isaac is acting totally normal for a baby coming home from the hopital; sleeping all day and awake all night. It will get better soon I'm sure. you must be in heaven knowing that you have 24/7 with your boy at last! Take care and send us some pictures soon. Rowena

I'm so happy for you all! And good that he's sleeping so well! I think Nathan was so used to all the NICU noise he wouldn't sleep well for us... so the NICu nurses suggested we buy a *machine*... he's 2 now and he STILL sleeps with a noise machine... ocean waves every night! lol

Sonia, Jong & little Isaac:
Welcome Home! I'm so happy for all of you that Isaac is home where he should be, with his family. Please know that I'm continuing to pray for all of you every day, and that I hope to meet all of you in person someday in the future. If you're ever in Minnesota, please email me...I'd love to meet you or at least visit on the phone. God Bless!

I'm in Philly now and gave everyone here an update. Uncle Sam called Jong last night . . . grandma was so happy. She told me she had been praying even harder the last few days and was thrilled to hear that our little Isaac was finally home where he belongs. He's so cute. He has grown tremendously the past 6 months but seeing him in his car seat gave me perspective of how small he still is! Sonia, I don't think your smile can be any bigger. My mom, sisters and I have another package to send to you for Isaac's homecoming. I'll email Jong later.

I love you guys. And please, please give Isaac a big hug and kiss from me.

Much love,

Mary

I'm still praising Jesus with you!!! My Sunday School class has been praying for Isaac, Jong, and yourself. I was pleased to show them some pictures I printed from this blog. They also are rejoicing with you!!!

Blessings,
