We are having.............................

a BOY and a GIRL!!!!!!

At least that's what our Doctor thinks. Just a caveat - he thought my friend's wife was going to have a girl but they ended up having a boy so I guess one can never be 100% sure. But we sure hope he is right!

I found this out during my 17w0d checkup a couple of days ago. I don't have any good pictures to post because the black and white u/s pictures just don't compare with the 4D pictures. Plus the doctor only measures their head sizes now so the u/s pictures just show their heads so its not that interesting. However, a friend told me that they do have 4D ultrasounds in Tokyo so we will probably try that out again at least once or twice more!

I haven't started feeling the babies but am hoping that it will happen real soon. My belly seems to grow in stages. It seemed to be the same size for a couple of weeks and then all of a sudden it seemed to have gotten quite a bit bigger this week.

More 3D pictures

Hello. We are back to the grind in Tokyo now. Anyway, instead of posting more of the 3D pictures here, I posted all the pictures we have on yahoo photos. Just click on the following link to see the pictures - 3D Pictures

You can view it as a slideshow as they are arranged chronologically. You can kind of see how much the top baby moved around and in the last few pictures, he/she flipped over.

Its tough to come back to regular ultrasounds. The resolution on the machine our doctor uses is so much less clear!

Posting from Hawaii

Aloha everyone! Jong and I are on our last babies-free vacation in Honolulu. I was really, really stressed at work and tired right before I came but the weather in Hawaii was so beautiful that I was able to relax completely within a day! Jong has also been able to relax and get a lot of rest as he has been running around crazy so its been really nice.

Another really great thing we did - we went for a 3D/4D ultrasound yesterday! We don't know if we can find this in Japan so we thought we would try this out here even though it is a bit early to do a 3D/4D ultrasound. If you do a 3D/4D ultrasound later on in your pregnancy, you can really kind of see how the babies look. The technician was really nice and spent almost an hour with us. We have a pretty long DVD which will be too long to post but I will post one picture for now. We still don't know for sure the sexes - the baby our Japan doctor thought was a boy the technician yesterday thought may be a girl. So who knows? The other baby was too shy to show in between his/her legs so we can't tell. The technician said we can't really tell until 15 weeks anyway. The smaller baby on top was extremely active, kicking his/her sibling on the head a few too many times! The bottom bigger baby was very relaxed and looked very comfortable laying back and he/she was either sucking his/her thumb or eating his/her fist quite a few times! They were incredibly cute!!! ^_^
